چکیده
In the present study, a Cameroonian smectite was used as an adsorbent to model adsorption kinetics of three textile dyes (malachite green, methyl red and acid blue 74) from aqueous solution in batch system. The effects pH temperature were evaluated on capacities, times required reach equilibrium mechanisms involved. It can be seen that, although are independent medium, process studied is favourable acidic media globally temperature. Among pseudo-first pseudo-second-order kinetic models analyse experimental data, best suited describe onto clay. mechanism involved, independently dye, therefore two-step process: transfer dye molecules clay surface followed by interaction between surface. low value activation energies indicates that Methyl red, Malachite green Acid 74 physisorption process.

Studies on Adsorption of Some Organic Dyes from Aqueous Solution onto Graphene Nanosheets
Graphene, a new member of the carbon family, was used as an adsorbent due to its exceptional capability to remove Rhodamine B (RB) and Malachite Green (MG), two organic dyes, from aqueous solutions. Adsorption kinetics of RB and MG onto graphene and adsorption capacity of the adsorbent were studied. Also the effects of parameters, including pH, contact time, temperature, and adsorbent dosag...

Illite-smectite clay is a new mixed mineral of illite and montmorillonite. The ability of nano illite/smectite clay to remove Pb(II) from slightly polluted aqueous solutions has been investigated. The effects of pH, contact time, initial concentration of Pb(II), nano illite/smectite clay dosage, and temperature on the adsorption process were studied. The nano illite/smectite clay was characteri...

متن کاملKinetic analysis for the removal of a reactive dye from aqueous solution onto hydrotalcite by adsorption.
The removal of a reactive color, Cibacron Yellow LS-R, from aqueous solutions by adsorption onto hydrotalcite particles is investigated using batch rate experiments. Measurements are performed at various initial color concentrations, solid loads, pH values and ionic backgrounds (dissolved NaCl). The speed of agitation and the temperature inside the batch adsorber are also varied within a practi...
متن کاملEquilibrium and Kinetic Study of Adsorption of Nickel from Aqueous Solution onto Bael Tree Leaf Powder
The ability of bael tree (BT) leaf powder to adsorb nickel, Ni, from aqueous solutions has been investigated through batch experiments. The Ni adsorption was found to be dependent on adsorbent dosage, initial concentration and contact time. All batch experiments were carried out at natural solution pH and at a constant temperature of 30°C using wrist-action shaker that operated at 120 rpm. The ...
